Currently in production, Hannah Montana: The Movie is scheduled to hit theatres on May 1, 2009. The film is written by Daniel Berendsen and directed by Peter Chelsom.
Hannah Montana: The Movie is a film adaptation of the Hannah Montana show on the Disney Channel. With music by Alan Silvestri and choreography by Jamal Sims.
The film is about Hannah Montana’s growing popularity, and her father’s idea to take a trip with Miley to her hometown of Crowely Corners, Tennessee to maintain perspective on what matters most. The film stars Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso, and Moises Arias.
Filming began in April 2008 in Columbia, Tennessee and Los Angeles California. Hannah Montana: The Movie will be released in the UK on May 15, 2009.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has announced cameo appearances by Taylor Swift, Bucky Covington and the Rascal Flats. By announcing cameos, the film will get more publicity through reaching the cameo celebrity’s fans.
Disney has purchased numerous domain names to use to promote Hannah Montana: The Movie, including: Family Reunion, Off The Charts, Ultimate Choice, Welcome Home, Cross-Country And Old Friends, Where It All Began, and New Beginings.
