Disney’s Bolt is due to release in theaters on November 26, 2008 in Disney Digital 3-D Animation. Created by Walt Disney Animation Studios, Bolt is the story of a white German shepherd, Bolt (voice by John Travolta) who is searching for his owner and co-star, Penny (voice by Miley Cyrus).

The computer animated film stars the voices of John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Mark Walton, Diedrich Brader, Greg Germann, Susie Essman, and Malcolm McDowell.

The original script had the film named American Dog. Bolt was written and directed by Chris Williams and Byron Howard, with a music score by John Powell. Bolt is Disney’s 47th animated feature.

Disney is releasing a video game based on the movie in November 2008. The game will be sold for Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Nintendo DS, Xbox360, Wii, and PC.

Disney has created posters and video trailers for the film. The first movie trailer was released on June 27, 2008. Bolt was heavily marketed alongside Disney’s most recent film – Wall-e. There is also a sneak peek Bolt video hosted by Miley Cyrus.
