High School Musical: Get In The Picture – Episodes 3 & 4

The ABC reality series, High School Musical: Get In The Picture, just finished narrowing its contestants down to 12 finalists.

Episodes 3 and 4 concentrated on the tryouts and eliminations from the West Coast applicants. The West Coast judges seemed much more opinionated than the three judges from episodes 1 and 2 – and they disagreed with each other much more often.

It is interesting that the show makes it out to truly be the decision of the three judges on camera to pick the finalists, and, in the end, the winner. There is no way Disney does not have a team of executives behind camera reviewing the potential of each contestant – from dancing and vocal ability, to attitude and their “look.” There is no doubt that Disney is searching for a winner who has the High School Musical look – an energetic, Disney-loving, top of the class teen.

Next week the 12 finalists have the opportunity to be an extra in a scene of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
