Model/Actress Cindy Crawford will not allow her 7 year old daughter to watch Disney’s Hannah Montana. The reason? Cindy’s daughter was learning to be too sassy and talk back to much from watching Miley Cyrus’ acting on the show!
Cindy says about her daughter, “‘I love Hannah Montana, but she learns to be sassy from that show. I’ll say to her, ‘I don’t let anyone talk to me like that. I’ll certainly not take it from a seven year old, in my own house.’”
We wonder how many other parents feel that way…

Okay,my parents wouldn’t let me watch what I wanted when I was little either but let’s be honest Hanna Montana just isn’t a good role model. Heck, they sell way too much junk of hers. It really is out of hand. I hate when people idolize a regular person, it’s pathetic. She did nothing for society: she did not save anyone or anything as important as that thus who cares if the mother won’t let her watch something as bad as Hannah Montana. That mother made the right choice!

The issue with Hannah Montana is not that the show is stupid, or that it is merely a half hour long commercial for a variety of useless products, or even that the “actress”/”musician” that children are idolizing lacks any kind of discernible talent. The problem is that children are getting a highly unrealistic idea of what life is like, and are forming absurd expectations for themselves as far as appearances and accomplishments go. The chances of any one person becoming a “secret pop star,” or achieving any kind of fame at all are ridiculously small. Worse yet, what will these kids do when they hit 16 years of age and haven’t yet become world-wide sensations? Or when they get acne, or gain weight? Hannah Montana is bad for children because it gives the impression that the normal ups and downs of life aren’t normal. It’s not that “hannah montana suxx.”

I think that hannah montana is good. Because I know some people took shoots for the magazine of her and the people said we want you to be disgusting (like naked pictures or gross pictures).And sometimes she had a rough time when she was in sixth grade. Her pappy(grandpa)died. She had a rough time in school. She had to leave her loving farm,home,and some people of her family when she was living the big rockstar life.

The show is not bad for children, it was meant to be funny and teach kids lessons about life when Miley makes mistakes. But if your daughter becomes ‘sassy’ then teach her not to be. Punish her, not the show. How is Miley sassy to her father??

I don’t let my children watch hannah montana either. She is a bad sister to her brother and she doesn’t show any respect for adults like her dad or others. My children were picking up bad staff from that show.
