As we previously mentioned, Disney is going ahead with High School Musical 4. The movie will begin production in late 2009 and be released in 2010. However, it will not hit the big screens like HSM 3 – which is due to the fact that The Disney Channel is taking its chances using a new cast. It is not clear if any of the celebrities from the first three High School Musicals will appear for cameos.
The fourth installation of HSM will focus on a cross-town school rivalry between the Wildcats and another team. We have a feeling that HSM4 will have a lot less viewers than HSM1 and 2 did on the Disney Channel.

It won’t be High School Musical without Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, Lucas, Monique and Corbin! =( If they’re not gonna use the original cast, it’s not even worth it to make a 4th HSM.
