The Rock has let the cat out of the bag and told us that there is the potential for a live-action Jonny Quest movie that he is planning to work on with Andy Fickman, the director of his recently released movie Race To Witch Mountain. The biggest secret? Sounds like they’re considering Zac Efron for the lead role!
Jonny Quest was an animated series that started running in the 1960s. The show was about a young boy who travels on big adventures with his father, Dr. Benton Quest. Fearing for his safety, Dr. Quest hires a bodyguard for Jonny, Race Bannon, who also ends up training Jonny to be more capable of defending himself.
Zac seemed a little un-enthusiastic when asked about the film saying, “Yeah, Yeah… it’s a great idea; it’d be very fun. “It’s a long, long process. It’s so hard when people start leaking titbits. They’re very, very early on [with it] – not that it won’t happen happen, it’s just early.”
