Selena Gomez has made very clear that she would like to break into the music industry as part of a band rather than as a solo singer. She wants the group to have a pop-rock feel, and she even hopes to learn the drums and electric guitar for some of the songs: “I basically want to make music that is fun and that parents and kids can jump around to and have a good time to,” Selena Gomez said.
Selena would also like to give her band members center-stage during the concert. She doesn’t want all eyes on her: “I would like to try it and kind of switch it up,” she said.
Our favorite Disney star is also scared her fans might think she is impeding on her BFF Demi Lovato’s territory by breaking in the music industry, or that she’s out to get back at her ex Nick Jonas and his band the Jonas Brothers, but Selena assures fans, “You know the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are my friends, so I would not copy or do anything that they did. They’re really good, obviously, so I’m going to let them have that. But it’s kind of fun to learn things.”
She’s so cute!
The New Jonas Brothers Album comes out June 15, 2009. Joe Jonas had this to say about the sound of the new album, “It’s inspired by several different artists like Kings of Leon, Prince, The Zutons and Neil Diamond”, “With a lot more horns.” That sounds like it could make a pretty interesting sound for the Jobros 4th album. We can’t wait!
Taylor Swift is back in the United States – which is great news for us in the states! She had a wonderful trip in Australia for her concert tour.
Last month little Miss Miley lashed out at Radiohead for refusing to meet with her. She ranted in a radio interview saying, “I left because I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch. Stinkin’ Radiohead! I’m gonna ruin them, I’m going to tell everyone.” Yikes!
E! Online has reported that Radiohead’s publicist has, finally, responded to Miley saying, “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement.”
Radiohead’s frontman Thom Yorke took to his blog earlier this week saying “Wish us all a safe journey if you still like us and you’re not one of those people I have managed to offend by doing nothing…”
Miley, Miley, Miley. Why do you have to think you’re so special all the time – we like Radiohead! What about you?
