Vanessa Hudgens new movie Bandslam opens in theaters on August 19, 2009. Vanessa just started the press tour for the movie, beginning with talking to Extra. She talks about how her character in the new movie is much different than the character Gabriella that she played in the High School Musical series. She says Sam, the character in Bandlsam, is much more dark and introverted, “She’s very deadpan throughout the whole thing. [She spells her name] S-A-5-M and the 5 is silent. She’s cool like that, it’s how she rolls.”
