17 Again Movie Review

Review of the Movie 17 Again

If You Haven’t Seen It, You Can Still Read This! We Don’t Give The Plot Of The Movie Away.

Disney Dreaming decided today was the day that we would go and see the movie 17 Again starring are dear beloved, but sometimes gets us a little upset because he doesn’t care about his original fans, Zac Efron. The movie also stars Thomas Lennon, the Cop from the Comedy Central TV Show “Reno 911″ and of course Matthew Perry from the TV Show “FRIENDS” along with Leslie Mann who has been in a lot of great comedy movies such as “Knocked Up” with Seth Rogen.

The only true way to get an accurate review of a Zac Efron movie is from the eyes of his biggest fans, some people who just think he is okay and the sad people of the world that when you mention the Zefron they go “Who”! Let us start with the peoples reactions after the movie because just like dinner you want your desert first…because well it just tastes better! It Was Such A Good Movie! There we said it, we loved 17 Again it was hysterical on so many levels and it appealed to just about everyone. Zac Efron has totally proved to us that he can stand on his feet without High School Musical and we are not just saying that because we are fans, but because he really shows his depth as an actor on many different levels in this movie. He is funny and lovable one minute then serious and emotional the next, he really drives home the growth of his character throughout the movie.

Thomas Lennon and Zac Efron 17 Again

Enough about Zac for now we have to point out how well the acting talents of his sidekick Thomas Lennon (RENO 911) were through the entire movie. Thomas Lennon plays Ned Gold who is probably the biggest Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings fan anybody has ever seen and adds such an amazing comedic and personable performance to the movie that it really elevates the pace of the movie to something many similar films lack. Did we mention that Ned is Rich! So imagine a nerdy middle aged guy who loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings and picture all the cool things a person like that would have around their house, that’s Ned!

In closing we have to say that if you’re in the mood to see a movie that brings the laughs and keeps you entertained through the whole film then 17 Again is for you. We have really no negatives to speak of we just hope you give the movie a chance and not listen to the hype surrounding the film and just enjoy a little escape for 2 hours and you won’t be disappointed, everyone we went with loved it and were so surprised by Zac’s acting abilities. If he continues on this road he will be a huge Hollywood star!

Let us know what you thought of 17 Again!

Jonas Brothers Enjoyed Not Having A Live Audience While Filming J.O.N.A.S.

While it does not debut until May 2nd, the JB’s are wasting no time talking to everyone they can about their upcoming television show J.O.N.A.S.

In a recent interview Kevin, Joe and Nick said that they were exciting that they didn’t have to film the Disney Channel Original Series in front of a live audience. Joe said, “It’s nice for us. We don’t have to worry that every take will be messed up. We appreciate we can focus on the acting side of things.”

In February, when the JoBro’s started filming, Joe had said, “If there’s a live audience there, there’s a little more pressure to have your lines down, ’cause it’s a little different, and it’s filmed as if you filmed a Broadway show almost. [With our show,] if you mess up, you can go, ‘OK, let’s do it again.’ You can have, like, 72 takes, and you’re good.”

The Jonas Brothers play characters similar to themselves on J.O.N.A.S. Rather than the Jonas Brothers, they play the Lucas Brothers, however they are still part of a band called “Jonas.” Although, the brothers on the TV show go to high school.

Disney Is Rumored To Buy The Rights To Twilight…Really?

Miley-Cyrus-In-Twilight

We’re not so sure about this, so we’re going to warn you all to take this as the rumor that it is, but we found it interesting and wanted to share!

The rumor is that Disney wants to acquire the rights to the Twilight books and turn them into movies. Why you ask? Well, Disney has realized how poorly the first film actually represented the book by Stephenie Meyer. Disney has supposedly said that they will pay $1 billion for the rights and will work alongside Stephenie to represent the series in the way she intended – which is not what happened in the Twilight movie that released recently.

Disney claims it can spend this kind of money on the movie, because it will make all the money back, plus more in the box office. The original Twilight movie was a major failure, but only in terms of how good it was, not by any means in terms of how much money it made (because we all know it made a lot!).

Oh yea, and the other rumor floating around is that the movie would star Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers (yea right!). We can’t picture that at all! Twilight is aimed at a different audience than Miss Miley or the JB’s usually reach, and we’re pretty sure most of Miley’s fans have never read the Twilight series.

While we don’t mind the idea of Disney re-making the recently released Twilight movie, we do mind seeing Miss Miley and the JoBro’s in it. We’d rather some lesser known Disney stars. Maybe Lucas Grabeel and Debby Ryan? Or heck, maybe even Zac and Vanessa…now that we think about it, that would be hot!

Anyway, Disney says that the only way to represent the movie accurately is to make two movies per book (8 movies!). That would turn the Twilight series into the next Harry Potter for sure! Maybe that’s Disney’s goal? Disney would also make money off of creating merchandise for the movies, which we all know they would drag out and release over a 16 year period. That would mean a lot of moola for the mouse.

Rumor or not, do you think this would be a good idea for Disney?
