At the Toyota Grand Prix on Friday afternoon, the Toyota car company had numerous celebrities race for charity. Toyota donated $5,000 to “Racing for Kids” in the name of each celebrity racer and another $5,000 to the winning racer’s charity of choice. Raven Symone came in 12th place while David Henrie was the events Grand Marshal.
Oh yea, and Matrix star Keanu Reeves came in first – congrats!
Other racers included: Adrien Brody, Tim Daly, Eric Close, Alex Trebek, Carlos Mencia, Fonzworth Bentley, Mary Lynn Rakskub, and Ken Baker
Corbin Bleu was recently interviewed by MTV New and talked about his new album Speed of Light and his new movie “Freestyle” which Corbin produced and starred in about a Motocross enthusiast who is fight to win a coveted spot on the Grand National racing team, but has to not push away his friends and family in the mean time. Corbin is also asked about whether or not he was going to be in the next High School Musical and like the rest of the HSM cast has already stated Disney is going in another direction with the movies and they are going to be working with a new cast. The Obama Girls are more famous than the Jonas Brothers for young girls in the Washington D.C. area – interesting huh? It turns out that because these girls live what is seen as a celebrity lifestyle, in a higher class at with a higher wealth than the average person, tweens look up to and idolize Sasha and Malia Obama.
The reason this is most apparent in the Washington D.C. area is because the girls in this geographic area feel a closer connection with the Obama girls than the Jonas Brothers who are many more miles away. To many of us, we idolize stars all the same, because they are all the same distance away from us, or at least it feels that way, but to the girls living in D.C. they know Sasha and Malia are right next door.
Sophie Metee, a fourth-grader in the area says that her “main, main, main, main, main goal is to meet the girls — the Obama girls. Then the Jonas Brothers.”
While numerous gossip blogs are reporting that Miss Miley and her underwear model boyfriend Justin Gaston are engaged, we’d like to take the time to inform you that this information is totally bogus!
Long ago, Miley took a page out of the Jonas Brothers book of rules and began wearing a purity ring. This event happened right around the time of her Sweet 16 birthday at Disneyland where Miley dressed a little bit too skanky for Disney-executives and was asked to throw a ginormous glitzy ring on her ring finger – and she has worn it since (heck we would too if we had a diamond that big as a purity ring!).
If you’ll notice, the ring in the picture above is identical to the ring Miley wore while having a dinner date with Demi on April 4th.
Miss Miley is enjoying her money-making time right now, and has said in recent interviews that while she wants to get married and start a family within ten years, she is not interested in that right now, she’s too young!
So to all you rumor blogs out there, start making things up when Miley hits 18, but for now, just let her be a kid.
