Huliq news recently reported that it is possible for tweens and teens to turn our economy around. The reported said that because younger generations don’t see the need to save their money quite yet they are in the mentality where they can spend money on anything that comes their way, and right now that’s teen celebrities. From the Jonas Brothers to Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, there are so many concerts teens are dying to go to, cd’s they’re hankering to buy, and merchandise they can’t keep their hands off of.
The article stated, “Take the current music scene for example, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift. Young pop stars selling their music (and merchandise) to the teenage crowds. Taylor Swift tours and makes millions. Miley Cyrus is her own conglomerate. She makes millions just as Miley but throw in her alter-ego, Hannah Montana and BOOM… Cha Ching all the way to the bank. The Jonas Brothers are the basic boyband that gets the girls swooning and sells records, magazines, movies, TV shows…. Anything and everything these pre-pubescent girls can get a hold of. Miley sells notebooks, t-shirts, CDs that rake in millions for Disney. Hell, even this week’s movie gross shows the Hannah Montana movie reaching towards 70 million dollars gross since release. For being in a recession, I’d have to say that’s not too shabby.”
We think this is totally true, but how do you feel?
Taylor Swift has landed herself on the June 2009 cover of the UK’s Sugar Magazine. Along with her beautiful pictures Taylor also shares that her parents are convinced she started singing when she was less than a year old! She says, “Mom (Andrea) says she remembers folding clothes as I lay in my crib, just a few months old, and I started softly cooing. She called my dad in and they were convinced that I was singing to them.”

Demi Lovato has been inspired by one amazing fan and she wanted to let everyone know about it:
“One of the most inspiring people that I’ve ever met is a fan at a concert who I kept in touch with. I think God put her in my life because she started getting bullied soon after we met. She has this disease and a basic day for her is spending all night and day being sick and throwing up. She was having trouble with girls and other drama. She had a feeding tube and girls would go after her.
It was horrible. She just wanted to be normal. We’d e-mail, sometimes every day and she sent me a video where she said, ‘Thank you for being my friend,’ and I was like, ‘Thank you for being inspiring,’ I’m glad I could be there for her.
She said, ‘I wish I could just have something like a real sleepover.’ And I said, ‘Me too. I know how it feels even though I’m not sick. I know what it’s like to long to just be normal sometimes.’ It’s cool because we have such different lives but we can related to the same things.”

The horse Miley Cyrus rode in Hannah Montana: The Movie will be making an appearance at the first-ever QuarterFest to be held in Tennessee at the Miller Coliseum May 1st through the 3rd.
QuarterFest is a celebration of the American Quarter Horse Association’s 68th anniversary. Members of the association along with other horse enthusiasts from around the world will come together for entertainment and education and to honor a special horse picked during the festival.
An American Quarter Horse Association staff member said, “AQHA’s first-ever equine expo is a festival of learning, with clinics on a variety of topics – everything from ranch roping to camping with your horse – as well as entertainment and shopping.”
Sounds like fun! We’re sure Miley’s horse will have a blast : )
