Zac Efron has been named one of the most beautiful people as well as one of Time Magazines most influential people of the year, and now he has received yet another huge honor. Former Beverly Hills 90210 television star Jason Priestley has called Zac “the new Jason Priestley.” Jason even went so far as to say about Zac, “He’s got better abs than I ever had.”
Jason used to be the heart-throb celebrity that all the ladies went ga-ga for in the 1990′s, and he is now admitting that Zac is getting the same treatment in 2009.
However, Jason, now 39-years-old, does not envy Zac and his celebrity status, saying, “It’s so different now, so much harsher now than it was for us. The paparazzi stalk these poor kids – and they’re kids! You know what I mean?”
Jason also wanted to give Zac some advice about Hollywood and being a celebrity: “My belief has always been it’s about the work. The fame should always be a by-product of quality work. If you get into this business with the sole purpose of becoming famous, you’re going to find that fame is empty and hollow, and you’ll end up naked and strung out on the streets of downtown Los Angeles.” We’re pretty sure Zac already agrees with this, or else he would have been in the remake of the movie Footloose, but it’s ok, we still think Chace Crawford will do great!
