If you follow both Demi and Selena on Twitter, they never talk to each other anymore. But if you scroll back a month ago they used to send each other messages ALL the time. It now looks like Selena is having a blast in Canada with her fellow co-stars from the Ramona and Beezus set and Demi has been spending a lot more time in person, and talking on Twitter, with Miley Cyrus.
The two lovely ladies used to even mention each other in all of their interviews and at any event they went to they would be inseparable, but none of that has happened recently.
So what do you think? Do you think they’re just busy right now and they’ll go back to being besties, or do you think their relationship is fading?
Please! Demi and Selena are besties and always will be!! They’ve known each other and have been together since they were 7! They WILL ALWAYS BE Best friends or at least friends! I’m sure they have a perfectly good reason for not tweeting about each other lately. I’m not too sure what it is but these two are fine! They might be in a little tiff, i doubt it, but they are fine! In other somewhat-related comments, it’s funny how you can tell which Twitter accounts are official based on what they say – all the non-official Selena ones tweet about Demi 75% of the time, whereas the official Selena one (you’re right) hasn’t mentioned her in awhile.

OMG I’m sooo happy that someone else is also noticed that! It’s been like months there was nothing abo this on the internet.Anyways i think u are right ! They are not close to each other as they used to be ! There must be something goin on ! Bcuz nick and selena broke up.And now she’s with taylor and demi with the brothers.Also she got really close to miley cyrus they even got a same cell phone.And miley’s keep sayin that i love u i don’t know what I’d do without you! as much as i really hope they’re still friends, i unfortunately don’t think they still are. they haven’t created a youtube video in forever, they never twitter, myspace, or facebook about each other anymore. they haven’t mentioned each other in any interviews (that i know of). i even saw demi talking to m magazine saying that on her tour her best friend in the world who she knew for a really long time would be coming with her on tour. my heart gave a kick until she said her name was MARISSA. :’( i need one shred of proof they’re still BFFS… i really hope.

I have noticed that too. But, I believe that they are still BFFs. I think that they don’t tweet each other because they probably talk on the phone a lot. When you talk on the phone alot I don’t think they would need to be all love-dovey on twitter. They spend so much time together even if it is just talking, they are close. So why show it off so much. Plus Miley usually starts the twitter love what is Demi suppose to do ignore her. Then the headline would say DEMI BEING MEAN TO LOVING MILEY. Demi and Selena are very close and comfortable in their relationship and with relationships like that we are not as kind of show-off-y (not a word i know) with it. Like with family members we love them and are close as possible but we are not like HEY WE LOVE EACH OTHER! idk if I am making sense so yeah.

I’ve noticed this last October. Their last tweet with each other was last Sept.23.They said they missed each other. But since then, no tweets from each of them mentioning each other.I’ve been figuring out what’s goin’ on.And I have my theories.Here they are:
1.Selena became busy with her new album and tour.She always endorses something for her album or charity.
I think Selena thought that it would be best if she and Demi wouldn’t mention for a while due to the fact that Demi is more popular than her and wants to prove she can be popular without Demi’s help.
2.Selena became more insecure. It shows in her tweets. All she’s mentioning is about her projects.
3.Demi and Miley are closer now than Demi and Selena.True that Demi and Miley (before she deleted her account) have been tweeting each other.
4.Demi has been hanging out lately with her new friends now like @chloebridges,@jacvanek,@AnnaMariaPDT, and much more.
5.THEY CALL/TEXT EACH OTHER.No need to tweet each other then if that’s true.
6.They are still friends. But not BFFs now.
That’s it. Just my opinion. I’m a fan of Demi and Selena. I hate the fact that they aren’t BFFs anymore.

I think they are not as close as they used to be *sad*. I also follow them on twitter and I have noticed this a while back. Demi tweeted back and forth with Miley when Miley had her account (she recently tweeted that she misses her “nighthawk” her codename for Miley). A while back Selena tweeted that she miss Demi then Demi tweeted this message saying it’s hard to miss someone she no longer knows anymore. Then Demi and Miley tweeted things about how hollywood friendship is etc etc.
I would like to mention also the tweet Demi did about how she dislikes people who pretend to do good. I felt like it was a stab at Selena who lately has been showcasing her work with UNICEF.

and i just saw a interview with demi and it was in august and the interviewer was like “so you get to work with your bestfriend, do you guys get along all the time or is it up and down?” and demi was like “..were teenagers so were up and down at periods were super close and at other times we drift apart but, the good thing about our friendship is that i know no matter how far we drift apart the friendship will never go away” gah it was like…ughh even tho she did say itll never go away it was till sad… and they NEVER make youtube videos together anymore heres the link to the video

That`s just a faulty generalization. There are TONS of ways of how to communicate. Maybe they`re just really busy, but you can`t be sure that they`re not BFFs anymore. They can still text each other. Maybe they also want privacy.
All friends fight sometimes, so if Selena and Demi are fighting, I’m sure they’ll make up again. It’s probably just harder to have a friendship that everyone follows in the media, than for us ‘normal’ people.
