OneMillionMoms.com is a website that does not believe in marriage equality and gay rights. They are upset with Miley Cyrus because she recently told celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton over Twitter that she believes in gay marriage and the rights of all individuals to be with whomever makes them happy.
The One Million Moms organization has in turn sent out a message to all of their members against Miley, and has even posted the message online for visitors to their website to see.

“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus recently made statements supporting gay marriage.
Her comments were in response to a question posed to Miss California Carrie Prejean in the April 19 Miss USA Pageant. Homosexual celeblogger Perez Hilton was the pageant judge who asked Prejean her opinion of same-sex marriage, to which she responded that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Outraged by her response, Hilton began blasting the beauty queen and asked for celebrities to share their thoughts on gay marriage.
Miley Cyrus responded to Hilton through her Twitter.com account with the following comments:
* “Everyone deserves to love and be loved and most importantly smile.”
* “Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That’s like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he’s gay and that is wrong and very sad!
* “Like I said everyone deserves to be happy.”
* “God’s greatest commandment is to love. And judging is not loving.”
* “I am a Christian and I love you – gay or not – because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God’s children.”
Such statements will send the wrong message to our children who are influenced by this teenage megastar. Parents need to realize that Cyrus is not the positive role model she was once thought to be.
Take Action
Send Miley Cyrus a letter stating that you do not approve of her comments.
Clearly she is confused and does not understand the Bible. Please pray for the Lord to open her eyes to the truth.

Would Jesus have discriminated against gays? Seems to me that it is Cyrus who is being the good Christian here and the Million Moms who are definitely NOT being good Christians. Their hatred is clouding their judgement. I would think that supporting the idea that we are ALL God’s children and deserve to be loved would be a positive message to teach your kids. NOT when you are a hating homophobe!

Response to Bruce and Amoshie: Religion may be stupid, but Christianity is not. It’s having a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the World! (The man that created you.) It doesn’t get much than that!
Does God love EVERYBODY? Of course! He created everyone! Therefore He knows everything about you, He is always there for you, He knows the plans for your life, He knows everything you say or do before you say or do something. How many other people HONESTLY get you like the way our awesome God does?! That’s right NO ONE.
I think that everyone has an opinion, and can have their own opinion, so for the Hilton guy to freak out over one answer is pure ridiculous. God originally had chose for a male and female to be married, but when the fall of sin came (by Adam and Eve), things turned upside down. I don’t support gay marriages because that is not what the Bible teaches. I do not have anything against gays, because their choice is their choice.
Everyone DOES deserve to be happy, but gay marriage is not the answer. I just think there are better ways to be happy than to have to become gay. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” You do need to love everybody, and judging is not loving, Miley is right. However, it is hard to control judgment isn’t it? It is our human nature to judge. It is something that we all need to work on!
In response to Bruce: where does it say that the Mom’s are all Christians? Not all Christians are like that. That is where you are JUDGING. You were talking about NOT judging gays, but here you are judging Christians.

I mean, it’s a little awkward explaining to your kids why those two guys are kissing in public or why they’re getting married.
The fact of the matter is that regardless of whether you’re Christian or not, homosexuality doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s like shoving two electrical outlets together or two plugs together–the plug is supposed to go in the outlet, peoples.
And under no scriptural reference does it say that God is fine with homosexuality.
Not in Leviticus, not in the Samuel chapters–nowhere. In Revelations, it says that all the sinners will burn in the Lake of Fire. Simple as that.
Those mothers need to chill the heck out. People need to stop associating being gay with just the sex life. That is ludicrous! There are non promiscuous gays just as there are straights. You know what I do with my sweetheart in bed? I sleep! With him beside me. SCANDALOUS!

As for Miley, all I can say is good for her! I am so sorry that those women are being such jerks. She does not deserve that. I wasn’t a fan of hers…(not cuz she is bad, I’m just not a fan of that style music) but boy do I want to send her a fan letter now, thanking her for standing up for what she believes in, and apologizing that she was bullied over it. I hope she knows that people like me really appreciate her comments!

I agree completely. Its not a crime to be gay,It’s accepeted in our world (maybe not in some other countries), but in ours yes it is. Three of my best friends are gay and they are all girls. They are not afraid to show it. (I AM STRAIGHT) like i said i agree, Miley is showing that everyone should be treated with resect and kindness. Those moms must of been broughted up in a “non-gay enviroment” They should just be acceptive. They might not even know if one of their kids are gay?!
