While Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend Justin Gaston might have landed himself a lead role in an upcoming television series, he didn’t get super lucky and land himself as the male role in Miley’s next movie. That job has gone to Liam Hemsworth, who will be playing the character of Miley’s boyfriend in the upcoming movie “The Last Song.”

Known much more widely in Australia than anywhere else, Liam played the character Spencer in the Nicolas Cage movie “Knowing.” He also had some television roles, including the Australian shows “The Elephant Princess” and “Neighbours.” Oh yea, that and he’s drop dead gorgeous!

“The Last Song” begins filming in June.
