Zac Efron was spotted driving around Santa Monica, California yesterday afternoon not looking his usual cheerful self. Zac brought his skateboard with him and was seen sitting on fences and on top of hills with his trusty skateboard by his side and his cell phone in his hand according to the photogs who were following him all day. Zac even took a call on his phone and seemed really depressed, and after sighing and spending a few more minutes alone he retreated back to his car and drove off.
There have been rumors flying for a while that Zac was planning on breaking up with his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, and even though they have been spotted a few times in public recently it has been claimed from the beginning of their relationship that most of the time they spent in the presence of photogs is for their own publicity. While in the beginning, during their High School Musical years, it was a great career move for Zac and Vanessa to start dating as it furthered their fame and fan base, but now, as Zac is trying hard to break away from his Disney roots, perhaps he thinks Vanessa is holding him back?
The two even purchased two separate multi-million dollar homes when they decided to move out of their parents home, rather than opting to purchase a house together. That was the first sign that the two were not as close as the public seemed to think they were. The second sign was when Zac said he wasn’t interested in settling down and getting married until he was 40 years old, something Vanessa wasn’t expecting to here. And Zac isn’t the only one trying to branch his career away from Disney movies, Vanessa has been acting in various roles outside of the Walt Disney Company as well.
Perhaps, just as High School Musical, Zac and Vanessa have run their course. Perhaps the photogs following Zac today witnessed the break-up phone call from Zac to Vanessa. What do you think?
