Disneys Winnie And The Pooh Movie 2011

Finally the Walt Disney Company has come to its senses when it comes to its movie-making techniques! We have mentioned before that Disney is too into this 3D technology and computer graphics – and that we really miss the old hand-draw stuff! Yes, they are bringing it back with their upcoming Disney Princess movie The Princess And The Frog, however, we are far more excited about the new piece of information we just learned!

Disney will be creating a new 2D animated classic! And this gets better…about WINNIE THE POOH! The artists at the Walt Disney Studio will be using pen and paper to draw this new movie which is slated for release in 2011.

Are you excited or do you prefer Disney’s new stuff?

Well, frankly, Pixar’s productions have been FAR superior to anything hand-drawn Disney has put out lately (and many things they put out long ago), but that isn’t really because of the animation method used. I generally enjoy Disney’s hand-drawn stuff, and would be happy to see more quality hand-drawn animated movies, but don’t feel there is some kind of intrinsic superiority based on it being hand-drawn.

That said, I really HOPE that a new Pooh movie will return to a CLOSER interpretation of the source material, which is OUTSTANDING, and jettison any ridiculous additions like the Heffalump.

Horray! I am so exited! I think it’ll be somthing like “Meet Darby” movie, ’cause Disney have to explain where she from…) Or, like Kay&Tash, “Eeyore’s Movie”! I can’t wait to see it! I am big fan of Pooh!!!

This is great; it was a about time that Disney began using handdrawn animation again. The 3D stuff is atrocious.

Personally, I love CGI itself even more than 2D just because if done correctly, it can look amazingly beautiful, and you can have many different textures that can be on the characters as well. However, whether a movie is 2D or CGI doesn’t determine how good the movie is.
It, honestly, irritates me to no end when I see people that want to cling to the past, and never enjoy anything new, and automatically assume it’s crap. Now, I understand if you like 2D animation a bit better than CGI, but that should NOT influence if the movie is bad or not. A medium does not change the expression of the artistery in an animated movie. How well the medium is used can effect it, but that’s kind of a given for anything, really.

I don’t exactly like some of Disney’s newer stuff as much, but Bolt was good, and I haven’t seen The Princess and the Frog yet, so I can’t completely judge their absolutely newest stuff, but from what I’ve seen, I don’t exactly care for most of their newest stuff. It jhas nothing to do with Medium though, because Pixar has some pretty excellent movies that’re even better than, as someone stated before, some older Disney movies.

Anyways, I’m very excited for the new Pooh Bear Movie! I hope it’s as good as The Tigger Movie. Piglet’s Big movie and Pooh’s Heffalump Movie were sweet, but IMO weren’t as good as The Tigger Movie.
