We thought that Zac Efron was done with dance movies when he pulled out of the remake of Footloose but now we have a different idea.
Maybe Footloose wasn’t slated to do super good as a remake unless it got some buzz and had some people talking about it. That’s where Zac came in. Perhaps the directors of the film paid him to “think about” doing the film with everyone behind the scenes knowing that in actuality Zac wasn’t planning on going through with the deal and would pull out. Huge publicity stunt we think!
Because here we have it, the second movie in a month that Zac is slated to play the lead role in happens to be none other than another MUSICAL! Rumor has it that American Idol judge Simon Cowell is in talks to remake the movie Saturday Night Fever and wants Zac to play the lead role. The rights to the screenplay are owned by film producer Robert Stigwood who is currently working with Simon on a price to do a remake.
Simon wants to work with hip-hop music producer Timbaland to rework the soundtrack for the movie and make it modern for an audience in 2010 or 2011. Sources say that “Simon has been drawing up a list of people he wants to get involved. When that meets Robert’s expectations, the contracts will be signed.”

OMG!! That picture!! That tongue!! Oh, Zac, lick me please. Lick me all over. I’d be glad to return the favor.
(BTW- The SNF report is completely false.)
