In a recent interview Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” director Jerry Bruckheimer said that he is extremely busy, but he is still working on the fourth movie in the Pirates franchise as quickly as he can. Jerry is hopeful that the film will be hitting movie theaters in 2010 – which still seems like a long time for us to wait!
In the interview Jerry confirmed what we all figured – the movie is heavily centered around our favorite Pirates character Jack Sparrow, played by hottie Johnny Depp.
Jerry said, “Disney’s priority is to get Pirates made. That’s a great franchise for them and for us too. Beloved, with a great character and Johnny’s really excited about coming back to Captain Jack.”
Although, we’re a little upset with the fact that Disney spending so much time with the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie pushes back Disney and Johnny’s other venture “The Lone Ranger,” in which Johnny plays the character Tonto, the Lone Ranger’s sidekick, and rumor has it that the leading role will go to George Clooney! And as much as we’re excited for Pirates, we love us some George Clooney!
Which movie are you more excited for?
