On the popular Disney Channel Original Series “Hannah Montana,” Mitchel Musso’s character is dating his co-star Emily Osments character, but in real life Mitchel has another girl who’s holding onto his heart.
Mitchel recently told Seventeen Magazine that he has been dating actress Gia Mantegna for a couple months, saying, “We’ve been dating about two months. We go out with friends, or when it’s just us, we watch movies and eat sushi. It’s the first actual relationship I’ve ever had. We’re together 24/7 attached at the hip, and I love it. Whenever a ton of boys are around, she gets closer to me. A lot of times, a girl will go around and socialize, but Gia makes sure that everyone knows we’re together. It’s very comforting – I feel like it’s my safe zone, like nothing bad is going to happen. And she’s really close to her family, which is great.” Awwww, how sweet is that???
Gia was born on April 17, 1990 while Mitchel was born a year later on July 9, 1991. Most recently Gia has been working on a few cameos in television series, but she has also been in some blockbuster movies including:
- In the Land of Women (2007)
- Unaccompanied Minors (2006)
- 13 Going on 30 (2004)
At least it sounds like Mitchel is less confused about his own relationship than he is about Miley Cyrus’! Congratulations to the happy couple!
OMG this is so sad! It sounds as if once Selena Gomez’s contract is up with the Disney Channel Original Series “Wizards of Waverly Place” she will be moving away from the Disney Channel and heading off to college and working on shooting movies on the side. Selena says about Wizards, “I think this’ll be the last series that I do. I’m going to try to pull a Natalie Portman. Natalie went to Harvard while shooting ‘Star Wars.’ I don’t know how she did it. I want to have lunch with her and ask her — that seems like a bunch of stress right there.”
Selena told reporters that she is keeping her fingers crossed that she will be accepted into Northwestern University, her dream school.
As for how Selena is going to bring her audience along with her when she transitions from the Disney Channel to other, broader movie roles she says, “I’m going to make that transition slowly. I’m not going to immediately go do something that’s way off the charts, because my goal is to keep my audience and have them grow with me.”
What does Selena want to go to school for you might wonder? Well the teen celebrity is looking to study theater or journalism.
How will Selena fit in such a busy schedule of school and filming movies? She has just the answer: “I don’t really like to rest too much. If I’m resting in LA, I tend to miss home [in Texas] a lot and that’s not good for me, because then I get sad and I miss my family. I do constantly like to work. I believe that it keeps me going and makes me happy. ”

One of our favorite Disney Channel Original Series is getting the television movie treatment this August. Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie is an adventure starring Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin. The threesome play siblings in the film in which their family goes on vacation and Selena’s character accidentally places a spell on her parents, wishing that they had never met.
You’d think knowing you were a wizard would make you be more careful about what you say! The statement causes her parents to stop recognizing each other, or their children! Throughout the movie Selena, David and Jake have to fight to find a special stone that will reveres the spell.
For a made-for-television Disney Channel Original Movie we think it looks fantastic and we wish it was being released to theaters! What about you?
