The Walt Disney Company has planned to invest $452 million into expanding its Disney theme park in Hong Kong. The reason for doing this? Competition of course!
But Disney is not competing with another company, nope, they are competing with themselves. This seems pretty silly to us.
Disney has decided to open a rival Disney theme park in Shanghai. The Walt Disney Company hopes to make a significant profit from each park, and in order to do so they must make both of equal caliber. Both parks will be up-to-date and will be promoted as a family-friendly vacation destination.
The expansion of the park in Hong Kong will consist of 30 new attractions – wow! Currently, before these expansions, Hong Kong is the smallest of all the Disney theme parks.
The rival park in Shanghai is expected to be completed in 2014. Even after the expansion of the Hong Kong park the Shanghai park is set to be 10 times larger than the Hong Kong park.

First of all, it is spelled “competition “, and “it’s” is the contraction for “it is”. You needed the possessive, which is “its”. Outside of that, I find it very interesting that they are creating more places worldwide for Disney lovers to go, and Hong Kong DL should have additions just like other Disney parks. New attractions keep people coming. So would you also think that improvement at Disney World and Disneyland would be competition for itself? They are, after all, on the same continent.
