How very un-High School Musical of Vanessa Hudgens! Vanessa will be featured in the movie “Sucker Punch,” where she has been slated to play a foul-mouthed prostitute.

Vanessa says about the role: “I’m playing a character named Blondie and it’s set in a brothel in the 1950s, so there’s not a whole lot of clothes. It’ll be gun training, stunts, fighting and all that craziness. I can’t wait. I’m so excited. I’ve wanted to do an action film for a while. I think this is my time to really step it up and get to grow up. It will be somewhat different with the content and a few more foul words but that’s the biggest difference.”

So it looks to us like it was all part of her marketing teams tactics when they released her statement a while ago saying she would “get naked for the right movie,” looks like they wanted to see what everyone’s reaction to that would be, and when they realized it wasn’t overwhelmingly negative they signed her onto the Sucker Punch role.
