Miley Cyrus is set to star in a new movie called “Wings,” which is based off of the novel by Aprilynne Pike.
Looks like this movie is going to make both Disney fans and Twilight fans very happy! The movie will be produced by the same people who produced Twilight. The Twilight producers are Marty Bowen and Wick Godfrey, and there’s another special someone helping out too – Miley’s mommy Tish Cyrus! Tish will be the executive producer on the film.
Aprilynne published the book in May, and hopes to write three more novels in the series.
Miley’s role in the film will be the character Laurel, who is a 15-year-old girl who grows up in a sheltered home. Laurel is home schooled and has a lot of trouble adjusting to going to a big high school. Laurel realizes she isn’t like everyone else at her new school when she grows a pair of wings and learns she’s a fairy.

This is not good news at all! First of all Laurel is a blonde not a brunette! I think Miley is going to ruin a great book! I really really hope she cuts her accent out if they go through with this! Man this really is a horrible idea! She could play Chelsea, they need someone else for Laurel!! Please please please let this not go through!
I really like this book and dont want it to be ruined in a movie. ppl already usualy mess up movies tht were once books, but having miley cyrus play a charactor that is the total opposite of her is too much. so im begging u disney, take her out befor its too late. you can even let me play laurel, im a better actress, and i wont ask to be payed! just please dont put miley cyrus in there.
The book was lovely, it was original and I was looking forward to the movie that Miss Pike had talked briefly about when I met her on the tour for Wings. However, this was before it had been released that Miss Cyrus was going to be the lead. I think that was a terrible decision on Disney’s part. Fans of the book such as myself are going to be mad because I’m quite sure that she is going to kill the story. She is not the right actress. When I watch the movie, she’s not going to be Laurel for me. She’s going to be Hannah Montana. This will not go over well.
This is not good!! She would not make a good Laurel and like almost everyone thinks that so please don’t change your mind.

i do not want her or jonas bros or nay disney people playing in this movie i like miley and the joe bros but ive read and reread this book she and him aren’t suited for the part and if they mess up tamani i will be mad im team tamani not david

I agree with the above comments. Although we all love Miley she isn’t right for the character of Laurel who is supposed to be pure and innocent with long blonde hair and i also think (even though the character is 15) she looks too young and mischevious. Better someone along the lines of Taylor Swift.
