Vanessa Hudgens was recently interviewed by Parade Magazine and we found some things out about the Disney Star that we didn’t know before.
We’ve mentioned before that Vanessa loves having her own house to herself, but we had no idea how close she lived to her parents! Turns out Vanessa only moved 10 minutes down the road from her parents home. She says, “They helped me move. They helped me fix my house up. They know I’m growing up, and they’re proud that I can actually have my own home. I mean, of course I know they’re sad. I am so close to my family. I talk to my mom almost every day.”
Vanessa is so close to her mom that she even got her fired once! Vanessa says, “I was calling her at work way too much, because I missed her. Back then, I was so shy, I did not want to leave her side. I would call her at work nonstop, to the point where she got fired. It was horrible.”
Vanessa used to be extremely shy when she was younger, but on stage she could be whoever she wanted, and she loved it! No wonder she was so good in High School Musical! She says, “When I was young, I would not talk to anybody if I didn’t know them. I’d hide behind my mom if she tried to introduce me to anyone…When I was on the stage, I felt like I was hiding behind a person, and I adored it.”
Vanessa’s favorite musicals (besides HSM of course!) are Grease and West Side Story.

Ashley Tisdale has been really busy lately with all kinds of different projects! Most recently her second album released on Tuesday (July 28) to great reviews.
Her movie “Aliens in the Attic” hits theaters this weekend and is expected to fair well at the box office.
At 24-years-old it is expected that Ashley will branch away from her Disney roots, but according to Ashley herself she is in no rush to do so. In a recent interview she said, “I’m easing into it. If you go too far, that can kind of hurt you. So I just take baby steps. Once you’re playing the older roles, you’re there forever after that. You can never go backward. So I’m taking my time getting there.”
Her first baby step was her album “Guilty Pleasure” in which the music is a bit more mature than we’re used to hearing from her. She says, “The subjects (of the songs) are a little bit more mature. There’s a lot of breakup songs, and then there are songs that are role-playing in a relationship, and innuendos like ‘I like what you do to my hair,’ so I think you know where that is going. As a young kid, you don’t listen to what they’re saying or what they’re singing about. You like the beat. You like the music.”

Selena Gomez Tweeted yesterday that she was in the studio finishing up the last track on her album! No word yet on what it will be called or how many songs will be on it.
Sadly, unlike Miley Cyrus’ unannounced, upcoming album, no songs from Selena have leaked yet.
Although, we LOVE the songs from Selena on the soon-to-be-released Wizards of Waverly Place Soundtrack.
We are taking a vote – which artist do you think Selena’s music will sound most like – Miley Cyrus’, Demi Lovato, Mitchel Musso or the Jonas Brothers?
