An 8-year-old girl, Daniela Earnest was working hard running a lemonade stand to earn money for her and her family to take a trip to Disneyland. She opened up the lemonade stand with her stepmother at a busy intersection in Tulare, California.
However, the town’s code enforcement officer is obviously not a fan of kids, or Disney, as when he found out about the lemonade sales he shut down the business.
His reason for shutting it down was that Daniela didn’t have a business license issued by the city – of course not – she’s 8-years-old!
After hearing the story a local radio station gave Daniela and her family tickets to go to Disneyland, in exchange for 30 glasses of lemonade!
Currently the city of Tulare is trying to figure out what to do if this kind of situation arises in the future. What do you think they should do?
