It is being reported that writer and director David Mamet is hoping to remake the movie “The Diary of Anne Frank” for Walt Disney Pictures. The original movie, based off of the real life events and diary, was released in 1959 and was directed by George Stevens.
The story is about a young girl, Anne Frank, who kept a secret diary while she and her family hid in a secret attic in an apartment in Amsterdam during the Holocaust.
Do you think it’s time to rehash the events that took place and share them with a younger audience by making a Walt Disney classic out of the film?

Demi should play Anne Frank.
^ i hope you’re kidding. i hope that they choose a talented, unknown actress to play anne.
I saw the orginial Movie in school…its great but demi shouldn´t play the role…I think an unknown actress is better
I think if Disney did it they’d need to do it justice with an unknown actress who is really GOOD.
I’m holding out for Spielberg to do a big version which goes in depth to the war and the aftermath.
