Alright, we were already pretty upset with Miley Cyrus’ older half-brother Trace Cyrus for his fight with Disney Star Demi Lovato, but now we think he may have gone too far by dissing the Jonas Brothers in the upcoming issue of Details Magazine.
When Trace, the singer for the band Metro Station, was compared during the magazine interview to the Jonas Brothers, he had some not-so-nice things to say about Nick, Joe and Kevin. He said, “I’m not trying to clean my image to make anyone happy. I could have gone the route of the Jonas Brothers. Those guys can’t live their lives freely. They have to put out this image that’s totally fake.”
Since when are our beloved JoBros fake?
But it gets better. Supposedly the reporter jokingly asked Trace which of the Jonas Brothers would be the hardest to fight and Trace responded to the question seriously saying, “I don’t think any of them would be much trouble. I’d never lay a hand on Nick—I love that kid—but the other two better not get in my way.”
You better not touch Nick, your sister Miley would be livid!

The first part is indeed mean. Although, for all anyone knows, they could be fake. Unless you’re with them 24/7, you don’t know. I’ll give an example: When she started out, Jessica Simpson was thought of as a bit of an idiot. Ex: The whole “is it fish or chicken?” bit. But I know a person who grew up with her mother, and reality is that J-Simp is actually quite intelligent and the whole “I’m stupid” thing was done for publicity. So you dont KNOW whether a person is fake or real unless you’re around them 24/7. And since Trace isn’t around them like that, he doesnt know.
As for the second part, I cant really blame him for that. They are a trio of rich pampered pop stars, any person off the street could probably beat them up. But the same goes for any other pop star, and that includes Trace, I’d bet.
oh come on trace, not all the young men like to have a image of rockstar “sex, drugs and rock’n'roll” hello… you try so hard to be that way and you’re music it’s so not
So I’m in the minority here, but I think he does have a point (at least about the JoBros image). All the Disney-associated acts have to have a clean image because they’re representing Disney and are aimed at young kids/tweens/teens. After all, that’s why Vanessa Hudgens is getting so much flack for exposing herself in the nude and why Miley Cyrus’ pole dance on top of an ice cream truck is considered controversial. The JoBros, like the rest of the Disney stars, are expected to be clean and non-controversial.
At the same time, Trace Cyrus is a bit of a hypocrite. Metro Station also has its own image that it has to keep up. It’s wildly different from the JoBros’ clean cut image, but who’s to say he’s not truly being himself either?
ummm if the reporter ASKED it jokingly TRACE responded as such. trace further cleared it up on his twitter saying they chose to be role models while he doesn’t. he wasn’t mocking them- STOP trying to start drama.

I find it a bit comical that he’s dissing them, when in fact he’s just as fake as they are. Both groups are atrocious, in the aspects of music and image.

Well you guys are idiots. Well you never really know who is keeping up a fake image because you guys don’t know them personally. And it’s annoying how Jonas Brothers fans are obsessed and saying “I’m going to marry so-and-so Jonas one day” When you don’t even know you, and probably never will. Sure they see your face before, but there is a little to nothing, that they will marry you, or even become the closest friends. And not saying that Trace was right or wrong, well I guess he could have kept it to himself. And you never know, he could have been joking when he said that, but reports usually twist everything. And one thing about fangirls. Do you like the Jonas Brother because of their music, like do you really like them for their music. Did you heard it on the radio of one of their songs and never heard of them before, and you decided to look them up? Or did you guys like them because they are a fad, or just simple. You love them because they look “hot” or “cute”. You are suppose to like a band because of musical value, not because of their appearances. That’s what’s wrong with a lot of fan girls, not saying all of them, but a lot of them.
