Hannah Montana The Movie Review

Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana The Movie

We just finished watching Hannah Montana: The Movie on Disney Blu-ray and we have to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We want to share with you our top three favorite moments from the film.

1. The Chicken Coop: In the movie Miley Cyrus (Miley Stewart) teams up with Lucas Till (Travis Brody) to renovate Miley’s grandmothers’ chicken coop. The end result is amazing! The multi-colored chicken shelter is gorgeous and was used in the movie to show Miley’s feelings towards Lucas. After the two get into a tiff Miley spends the entire night painting the coop for Lucas to find in the morning – Miley’s hard work is the reason the two are able to make up!

To be honest we can’t really imagine Miley in a relationship with her co-star Lucas. But we can totally see him with Taylor Swift, who he has admitted to having a crush on! Miley seems to like guys with dark hair (Nick Jonas & Justin Gaston)!

2. Emily Grace Reaves: At one point in the movie Emily Osment’s character has to pretend to be Hannah Montana in order to fool everyone so Miley doesn’t get caught in her lie by the people closest to her. We think she did a great job pulling off the role! But when Lilly is pretending to be Hannah Montana she gets Miley stuck in a sticky situation! Because of Lilly, Hannah Montana promised to be at two places at one time – yikes!

This drama Miley gets caught in is the breaking point with her choosing between Hannah and Miley and is the climax of the film.

The little girl who recognizes Miley as Hannah Montana as she is running back and forth to the dinner with Lucas’ character and the dinner with the mayor of the town is none other than Emily Grace Reaves. Emily is Miley’s cousin who is very close with Miley’s little sister Noah Cyrus. Emily and Noah have their own online show called the Noie and Ems show.

We think she was super cute in this movie – especially because she was wearing a Hannah Montana shirt and carrying around a Hannah Montana notebook! Emily was definitely one of our favorite characters in the Hannah Montana movie!

3. Miley Cyrus singing the Climb: When Miley finally decides at the end of the film that she doesn’t want to live a lie anymore while she is in her hometown she takes off her Hannah Montana wig and sings “The Climb” for everyone who showed up to her outdoor fund raising concert.

Out of all of the songs in the movie this is the song sung with the most passion on screen. We think Miley did an amazing job singing this song and we’re glad it was one of the singles released off of the “Hannah Montana: The Movie” Soundtrack and onto the radio.

18. The Best Of Both Worlds: The 2009 Movie Mix by Hannah Montana

We loved the cameos by Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift in the film! We thought that everyone involved in the production did a fantastic job. Even though Mitchel Musso had a very small role in the film we think he did an amazing job – but our first thought when we saw him on screen is that we love his new haircut so much more than before!

Moises Arias also did a fantastic job during the scene at Emily Osment’s character Lilly’s birthday party. Him and Mitchel make a great team on camera! Don’t you think?

The Bonus Features on this Home Entertainment Release DVD of the movie are amazing! Not only will you be able to follow along and learn the dance moves from the “Hoedown Throwdown” song, but you can also:

Why does everyone think “The Climb” is a good song?? It’s a awful song!! This movie would have been so much better without it!! I hate that Disney made this movie. I used to be a “Hannah” fan before, but not after seeing this crappy movie. Just a proof that Disney only thinks about money and doesn’t care if they destroys their own products

I think that Miley Cyrus did the right thing by telling everyone that she was Hannah Montana, It is not good to live a lie forever.
