The Walt Disney Company has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Catastrophic Disaster Plan. The project’s goal is to feed and shelter 250,000 individuals after a major disaster.
From the donation of the Walt Disney Company, the Red Cross was able to qualify for a $1 million grant.
In the last 6 years the Walt Disney Company has donated over $3.6 million towards national disaster relief efforts in California. Aside from monetary funds, Disney also donates Mickey Mouse stuffed animals for Red Cross workers to give to children involved in disaster situations.
