Created in 1995, the American Latino Media Arts Award (ALMA Award) is awarded to Latino actors, directors, designers and musicians who are a positive influence in the entertainment industry.
Many of our favorite Disney stars have been nominated for ALMA Awards, including:
- Demi Lovato
- Selena Gomez
- David Archueleta
- Jake T. Austin
Demi and David were nominated for a Special Achievement Music award while Selena was nominated for Special Achievement Comedy Actress and Jake nabbed a nomination for Comedy Actor.
Demi posted on her Twitter: “Can’t believe I’ve been nominated for an ALMA award! So incredible you guys.. thank you SO much!”
The ALMA Awards show will air on ABC on Friday, September 18th at 8PM EST/PST – will you be tuning in?
