Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Today we are starting the day off at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. This park was the fourth one built at the Walt Disney World Resort, and opened on April 22, 1998.
In the park there are tons of animals, a safari ride through the park and tons of other fun rides!
In 2008 the park was ranked the 5th most visited theme park in the United States and ranked number 8 in the world.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park focuses on three types of animals: those that exist today, those that previously existed, but are now extinct, and those that exist only in legend.

I worked at Disney’s Animal Kingdom from August ’08-May ’09 while on the Disney College Program. Before my CP, DAK definitely wasn’t my favorite park but has now stole my heart. I worked in the parking lot and in Africa on the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. DAK is so peaceful and serene. I have a great knowledge about the park and can’t wait to go back and visit very soon!
