The Walt Disney Company has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Catastrophic Disaster Plan. The project’s goal is to feed and shelter 250,000 individuals after a major disaster.
From the donation of the Walt Disney Company, the Red Cross was able to qualify for a $1 million grant.
In the last 6 years the Walt Disney Company has donated over $3.6 million towards national disaster relief efforts in California. Aside from monetary funds, Disney also donates Mickey Mouse stuffed animals for Red Cross workers to give to children involved in disaster situations.

Julia Roberts was slated to play the lead role in Disney’s “The Proposal,” but according to Us Weekly she refused to lower her salary expectations! In turn Disney put Sandra Bullock in the role – which she did a great job in.
Sandra and her co-star Ryan Reynolds have so much comedic chemistry in the film that we honestly can’t imagine Julia in that role. Can you?
The movie drew in $151 million at the box office, sorry Julia! “The Proposal” is coming to Disney Blu-ray and DVD on October 13th.

Vanessa Hudgens is one smart Disney girl! Remember just last week when Vanessa’s second set of nude photos had surfaced and that’s all anyone was talking about when it came to Vanessa or her boyfriend, Disney’s Zac Efron? Well, we’re not hearing much about that scandal anymore are we?
Nope! And why’s that? Well because Vanessa gave a newspaper a little white-lie of a quote that set fans and media scurrying to find out the truth about whether or not Vanessa was engaged to Zac. Specifically Vanessa said, “We haven’t set a date and if we did we’d keep it secret for as long as possible. Why? What if one of us was offered a major film part? Then we’d have to postpone our marriage and people would say we’d split up. And we don’t want that.”
But now that Vanessa’s nude photo scandal is out of news Vanessa’s representatives have come forward to say that the engagement rumor is untrue.
