Disney’s “The Lion King” show on Broadway and the Disney Theatrical Productions company will be donate pieces of the set and performance to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History today, September 24th.
The museum already has a collection of pieces from various Broadway shows including:
- Rent
- Hello Dolly!
- Cats
- The King and I
- Fiddler on the Roof
- This Is The Army
- Mame
- Lorelei
- Kiss of the Spider Woman
In addition, the museum also has numerous Disney artifacts on display including many sketches by Walt Disney himself.
