Remember back when Nickelodeon made the “Harriet the Spy” movie starring Michelle Trachtenberg in 1996? Well it looks like the Disney Channel is next up with a new Harriet movie.

Canadian 9 Story Entertainment has just sold a new Harriet the Spy movie to the Disney Channel which is set to premiere worldwide in 2010.

9 Story Entertainment president Vince Commisso stated: “Our partnership with Disney Channel for a worldwide premiere of Harriet the Spy underscores the enduring appeal of Fitzhugh’s classic novel. Our contemporary interpretation of universal themes for children and families will make Harriet the Spy relevant and entertaining for today’s audience.”
