When Dick Cook stepped down from his job as the head of Walt Disney Studios it was only a matter of time before he was replaced. His replacement, Rich Ross, was formerly a TV executive at the Disney Channel.
Disney Chief Executive Robert A. Iger hopes that because Rich is from the television side of things he will be able to turn the movie side of Disney around by offering an outside perspective.
Rich has proved himself through his work turning the entertainment of the Disney Channel into a brand strategy – from “Hannah Montana,” to “High School Musical.”
Rich is said to be a strong team player, but has no experience in feature films. Do you think he was a good choice for the job? Especially when Disney hasn’t had a huge hit with any of its recently released movies.
