Hannah Montana’s Cody Linley was spotted out partying hard and now the pictures have surfaced in Star magazine. Cody was clearly intoxicated and was kissing numerous girls and letting them draw on his bare chest with a marker.
Disney’s Demi Lovato is sticking up for Cody, writing this message on her Twitter: “Leave Cody alone. Big deal.. He partied too hard. Get over it. Sometimes people DO make mistakes.. But this guy doesn’t deserve all that tabloid crap”
Demi also wrote a pretty snippy message to a fan directly afterward: “hm.. Pretty sure that’s NOT what I said. I’m saying leave it alone. He’s a good guy who barely gets in trouble. So find something else to talk about”
So we have two questions for you – should Cody be under fire for his partying ways, AND should Demi take out her anger on her fans who love and respect her?

guys u have to get your facts straight. demi said sorry to that fan. she was just defending her friend and the fan forgave her and was greatful that demi replied. demi even sent her a dm. read the rest of demis tweets before you say things bout her. its just n the last couple days with the tweet she did shes getting alot of hate and i dont want one of my only other reasons for being on twitter gone.
FYI that fan insulted Demi! (although she didn’t mean it) But afterwards, Demi apologized. Demi was just defending herself! But it’s all cool now!

like many people cody had one of those hard party nights you want to forget about. unfortunately, this type of stuff is quite common in our society. yes what cody did wasn’t the smartest decision to make especially because he is a celebrity, but i don’t think cody should be thrown under the bus!! everyone should just move on, i hardly think this is news worthy…there are so many other more important things going on in the world to talk about than this guys one night of heavy partying.

No, Demi didn’t do ANYTHING wrong. I would have done the same, if it was my friend who got in trouble. And fyi I can’t promise that anyone in my family doesn’t do the same as Cody everyday. It disgusts me, but I forgive him for it.

More than Demi’s Twitter reaction, I’m surprised that Cody Linley, all of 19 years of age, got drunk (in public) and didn’t face any consequences for it (other than media attention, which considering he’s not one of the biggest Disney stars, is probably a good thing for his career).
No wonder kids under 21 feel like getting drunk isn’t a big deal. They have poor child role models and adults who either overlook or encourage it.

It’s ok to stick up for your friends, just state the facts, all the facts, Cody is under the legal drinking age and shouldn’t have been drinking anyway and that behaviour later resulted in his being FIRED from a DISNEY FEATURE FILM and replaced, so sad! What’s the lesson here? Kids…don’t drink until you’re 21 and then when you ARE 21 learn to do it responsibly or you could end up in tabloid losing the respect of your “fans” =)
