C’mon Zac Efron, really? We love your movies, and we support all of your roles. And on top of that, we PAY to watch your movies in theater, purchase them on DVD and buy paraphernalia with your face on it. The LEAST you could do is act like you enjoyed those movies too.
But no. Zac has come out and said that he is bored with all of his previous movies. Here’s what Zac had to say about his latest movie “Me And Orson Welles”: “It’s the first time I’ve ever watched a movie [that I’m in] and in the end I’m like, ‘OK! I didn’t check my watch once!’”
And on top of that he had this to say about his Disney Fame: “I try not to look at all of it. You can’t enjoy or celebrate it; it’s not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and s*** – you can’t share that with your friends.”
Gee…thanks Zac.
We’re told that in the rest of the Nylon Magazine interview Zac has more positive things to say about his Disney fans, but we can’t seem to find the entire article online, even on the Nylon Magazine website.
Have you read the whole article?
Even if Zac does backtrack after he made that comment about his Disney Fame can you really ignore that comment he had? We won’t judge Zac until we read the whole article, but from what we’ve seen so far we’re a little weary.

wow what the hell some people don’t deserve the things they have been given
What does he mean he can’t enjoy anything he’s done? I guess he means he can’t be like ‘wow i’m on a lunchbox. that’s a massive acheivement!’ but i really don’t get how it’s a not a real thing…. He doesn’t dissapoint me though, he intreagues me.
You guys should amend your article again to add that this is what he actually says about HSM in the article:
“[Put your mind to it and you can achieve anything,] that’s what High School Musical is about. And man, you should see the faces on the kids. It’s priceless, and I don’t look down on, or think badly about, those films. I have no regrets at all. I’m extremely proud of those movies, and will be forever.”
The quote TV Guide used is out of context and it is unfair to him to paint him as a d-bag when he’s not being one.
he’s being honest it’s way better than the stars who fake
If you actually read the article what he says is, “I’m extremely proud of those movies and will be forever.”
Unfortunately too many people like to take things out of context just to be negative or to grab headlines
I really don’t care what the rest of the article said. You can’t make a bad comment and then try to fix it by saying I love those movies. Regardless I think he does not deserve t fame he is getting. There are much better celeberties out there that are proud of where they started.
yeah, when i first read the excerpts, i was a bit disappointed with his attitude. but after reading the WHOLE article online, my feelings totally changed. it was a great interview, but nylon boys just decided to pull out the worst quotes possible from it. its such a turn off. zac doesnt mean he thinks his movies are boring; he never said, oh my movies are BORING. its extremely hard watching yourself act, trust me. and besides, he didnt mean it as badly as it sounds.
he just is under pressure
Hey, speak for yourself when you say that Zac has disappointed us. I am not disappointed in him at all. I admire what he’s doing. It’s not easy to go from child actor to adult actor. No one takes you seriously. He’s handling it all very well. Doing a great job. Keep it up, Zac. You’ll be just fine.
Did you read the entire article or just the sentence that was lifted from it. Maybe you should read the entire article before critizing.
I’m so surprised! I thought he loved those movies. And he met his love , Vanessa Hudgens, in those movies. He is a very ungrateful guy & I had thought he was better.
I celebrate that Zac Efron is a human being not a product designed solely to please a mass audience. He has said many times that he is proud of his past work. He is also maturing and moving on to more serious roles. Is it so hard to understand how both can be true? This actor offers the gift of his integrity and gratitude at every turn. Magazines grasp at negativity to catch readers. It doesn’t take much deep thinking to distinguish these two truths.
Well, no offence to anyone, but I hated the HSM movies anyway and they too bored me to tears, but I just think he’s an ungrateful b****** for saying that when he’s out there living the high life and complaining all day when we have to work hard and pay for all of the c*** he produces in his films. Be a man, Zac.
