Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs will be helping the Walt Disney Company with the redesign of its Disney Store layouts. Steve Jobs sits on the board at the Walt Disney Company because he owns a piece of Pixar.
Inside Disney Stores customers will now be able to checkout anywhere in the store when they are done shopping as employees will carry mobile checkout devices. The concept for the new store layout even includes more interactivity for shoppers, from karaoke machines to showcase Disney Music to touchscreen kiosks where shoppers can chat with Disney Stars – We like that!!!
Word is that store employees will all be given iPhones in order to communicate.
The current plan is for the Walt Disney Company to update 340 of it’s major Disney Stores – and that the redesign will cost around $1 million.
