Think about it from the perspective of Disney. Disney sets up a press conference to announce that Miley is putting out a new album on "X" date. Nobody knows what the date is except Disney and Miley. A few hrs before the conference, Miley tweets "My album comes out on "X" date." All of a sudden, the press conference is worthless since everybody now knows the date, and Disney would have then wasted $ holding said conference. Honestly, I saw this coming from a mile away, and I have no problem with it.
Think about it from the perspective of Disney.
