David Archuleta Speaks At Women’s Conference In Utah

David Archuleta is adorable! He spoke earlier this week at a Women’s Conference in Utah, and while he seems a bit nervous in the first video, by the last video he seems so comfortable at the podium and he had so much good advice we recommend watching all of these clips!

Check them out both above and below and let us know how you think David did.

David not only can bring me to tears when he sings, he brings me to tears when he talks!! He is wise beyond his years!!
It was wonderful watching David become more comfortable behind the podium, throw his notes aside, and speak from the heart!!! This was such and inspirational, heartwarming experience, and I was not even present!! There definitely is a radiance… in and around David… that is so easily transmitted to others through his smile and his heart!
What is not to love about David!!! He has a way of making everyone around him so warm, cozy and happy!! He is an inspiration to all!!!

I’ve watched the entire speech many times so far and am left with pure amazement at David’s courage and determination at age 18! He has a very strong awareness of where he wants to go in life and just what he needs to do to get there…he’s proved that since day one of American Idol auditions and even earlier for that matter through his struggles with his vocal issues during Star Search. He said in his speech that he hopes to reach our hearts & souls through his music and I want him to know that he has touched us in ways that he may never imagine. His fans can only hope & pray that he will some day. Thank you, David, for “keeping it real”…SHINE ON!

  • he is so cute

Most teens I know are pretty busy worrying about what everyone thinks of them. This results in lots of play acting. David seems so comfortable with himself he can say and do whatever he wants without all the social pressure. It’s a pleasure to listen to him. He’s so real.

At such a young age, he knows how to live his life and where he wants to go. A rare person who is a role model for the young and old. Quite a lot of people in the entertainment business say life is all about having fun and enjoy. They do crazy things to get attention for the 15 min fame. To David, life is about how you live RIGHT and deliver the good will of music to as many people as possible. It’s hard to believe there is somebody like him these days.

Well said, Sarah. He is one of a kind. And GMAX4, he also brings me to tears. It used to be only when he sang. Now he’s doing it when he speaks. He was cute but repetitious at first. But it was amazing watching how much more confident he became as he went along. I would never have thought that he would speak for 50 minutes, and I would, like an idiot, hang on every word. For those people who don’t GET HIM…….I feel so sorry for what you are missing. He has changed my life, in a good way, forever. I hope I get to meet him some day.

wonderful! Love David speaking from the heart. He is such a joy. His parent should be so proud of him!

He is a role model for us all — from teens to the elderly!

I’ve learned something from him …. and I hope everyone else does as well!

I like what he said about lying to yourself will lead to. That is wise and good advice to all.

Thanks for posting this so more people will see it. I am very impressed with David’s determination and drive. He’ll take on any challenge head on, including this speech. He rambles getting to them but he has really good suggestions that he actually follows himself. I love how on-the-fly he pulls his own speaking challenges and indecision into the lessons of the speech and applies his own advice. And he had the audience laughing and charmed. He did a good job!

The last part of the speech is missing above – the end where David sings a bit. The negotiation and indecision over what to sing is funny.

David is so awesome! No, no, even better than awesome!!!!!!!
