Miley Cyrus may be one of the most popular Disney stars, but it doesn’t look like everyone feels that way.
Miley was recently voted the worst celebrity influence of 2009 by tweens and teens in an online poll – yikes!
The poll was on AOL’s JSYK.com and Miley took 42% of the votes, pushing Britney Spears into second place and Kanye West into third place.
Recently Miley has been receiving a lot of criticism for her outfits at performances as well as racy dance moves at her concerts. In addition, Miley has been blamed for being a bad influence for her younger sister Noah who recently attended a Halloween costume party wearing a scandalous outfit.
But even with being voted worst celebrity influence, Miley still made it to the number 4 position in the favorite female artist poll on the same website, coming in behind Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Beyonce.
An editor of JSYK.com had this to say about Miley: “I think Miley is in an interesting space where she is trying to graduate from being ‘Hannah Montana’ and a Disney channel celebrity and coming into her own and having a career beyond Disney. I think her fans still want her to be the sweet Hannah Montana and she is trying to age up…Parents are definitely resisting it.”

Just cause she is famous and living her dream doesnt mean people should judge her and treat her differently ! I think some people are just plain CRAZY !!!!

she is living her life having fun, doing what NORMAL teenagers do, dressing like NORMAL teenagers. just because she is famous doesnt meen she cant act like a normal teenager. its just because her life is in full public view and everything she does is wrong, but it is only wrong because she is Miley Cyrus!

seriously what has she done to deserve the worst celebirity of the year? Chris brown abused Rihanna, and Kanye took over taylor swifts vma speech Miley has done nothing compared to this. She stays true to her self minds her own business. and is growing up just fine. she does not abuse anyone or take over speeches. I think that poll is ridicoulus!!! Miley knows who are true fans are!! i love this article it is totally true,it was on the news a couple of weeks ago. MILEY CYRUS IS A HORRIBLE ROLEMODEL,SINGER,ACTRESS. shes just horrible at everything she does and she is a S***!!!!!!
