Disney’s new project “Secretariat” began filming this week and is currently set to hit theaters next October 2010.
The movie is being directed by Randall Wallace and stars John Malkovich and Diane Lane. The plot is based on a true story of a legendary horse in 1973 who became the first US Triple Crown champion in 25 years – wow! Diane plays the owner of the horse, Penny Chenery Tweedy, while John’s character, Lucien Laurin, plays a veteran horse trainer.
