Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have barely talked recently over the social networking site Twitter, that is, until today!
Demi posted the following on her Twitter account: “@selenagomez I hope you can make it to my party this weekend 
”
The two posted a while ago that they missed each other, but nothing came of it since the two have been so busy and haven’t had time to spend hanging out.
We’re not sure what the story is with these two. They definitely are not BFF’s the way they used to be, which makes us super sad!

Demi is tweeting to Selena now b/c Miley isn’t on Twitter anymore. When Miley was on Twitter, many of Demi’s tweets were to her. Since she doesn’t have MC on Twitter anymore, she seems to have remembered that Selena exists.
I agree with Paula. It seems like she pulling out all the tricks she has to get more fame. The evil Miley Cyrus ways of achieving fame is growing yet again in another Disney star. Shame Demi, shame.
well i think they are still BFF’S but haven’t had time to be together they probably have missed each other so much i bet that when they see each other they will have tons of things to tell each other. i hope pretty soon now that Demi is back in L.A. they will be seen together

I know they can call each other but Demi have to at least show her love to Selena on Twitter. I like Demi Lovato’s music and style, but I don’t like what’s becoming of her. She is constantly switching friends. I think Selena and Demi’s “friendship” was all for some press and publicity. Miley Cyrus doesn’t really look like friend material; she probably manipulated Demi, and Selena got mad and said Jennifer Stone was her best friend (compliments of Disney). I just think all of this is a big mess, and Disney Channel is falling apart but they cover it up by creating new campaigns like Friends for Change. I really strongly dislike Disney Channel and its new shows!

I think you’re all reading way too much into twitter. How can you say Demi switch’s friends too much? What are we in first grade where you’re only allowed 1 friend? I still can’t believe Demi would ditch Selena for Myspace pricks like Jac Vanec. Addie – I think why everyone is really upset is cuz Demi always has time to post tweets about OTHER friends….she’s always talkin about hanging out with so and so etc etc. With Selena, I think they HAVE drifted apart but again it is only an assumption. We know Demi is tight with the Jonas brothers whereas Taylor Swift and Selena are not. We’ve seen taylor and selena tweeting to each other and honestly, their tweets always seem more GENUINE than Selena and Demi’s tweets do.

Most of all being girls here, we all know wut it feels like a when a friend of ours starts talking with our ex-boyfriend. Some amount of tension is bound to result form such a situation. Because of demi and Jonas bros friendship, and because Miley and Nick seem to have re-united (as friends or wutever….), Selena is the one left out. And so is Taylor Swift.
In a circle of friends such as these, sides need to be chosen.
However, it could also be that they are still close but want to ‘protect’ their friendship from the media. Hence, less tweets and more phone calls…
At the end of the day, they are both amazing girls. Their friendship was really cute and sweet. I just hope its still there.
Another thing, most of us are all taking Selena’s side tells a lot about Demi. I am sure we all loved them as individuals before…but we feel sorry for Selena now. Why is that?
I will not say anything because i dont know them in peraon and not the real reason. I like Demi ecause her music is awesome, and her voice is special. Selena is only good at acting, some songs are ok, but not amazing. selenas voice is normal, many i know could sing like her, but since she is famous she get the chance to show her voice to.

I don’t think that people are “reading into it too much.” I think that the fact that they hardly communicate through Twitter is a sign of what their friendship must be like. Before Miley got rid of her Twitter, Demi was CONSTANTLY tweeting her. She even posted a picture of them together and wrote a caption saying something like, “That’s what REAL friendship looks like.” Demi said a lot of things on Twitter to Miley that seemed like subtle stabs at Selena..THEY were supposed to be the best of friends, but Demi treated Miley like she was her closest friend. And I’m pretty sure Demi only put that lame tweet in about Selena’s album just because there were a lot of speculations going on around the internet about their fading relationship.
Face it people, Demi has changed. She is so different from when she just started out in Camp Rock..and that was NOT that long ago.

I’m pretty sure they both have busy lives outside of their little friendship, but I do think that Demi did bail out on Selena a long time ago. They aren’t that close publicly anymore. Even though Selena doesn’t go on Twitter a lot, Demi DOES and she never tweets about Selena. Not even once in a while, except to see if she could attend Demi’s birthday party. To me, and probably a bunch of other people, they are BFF’s anymore. More like friends, but not close like Demi & Miley were when Miley was on Twitter. People change. Selena and Demi practically vowed to be each other’s best friends on TV, with all their magazine shoots, etc. But let’s face it. It’s hard to really be close when you’re both famous and have a busy career. If they were truly friends, they would find a way to communicate, so since they aren’t, we can just assume their friendship is on idle. hannah2012 mostly summed up my opinion of the situation. Why are we on Selena’s side? Because, like the comments say, Demi has been tweeting her other BEST friends like Miley, e.t.c. but not Selena. But then again, it might be because Selena isn’t as twitter obsessed as Demi is. On their secret accounts (which I dont even know if they’re real or not, mind you) there is a lot of tension. Why are you all saying this is Demi’s fault? Demi and Selena have been best friends since forever ago, and I don’t think anyone is using anyone. Sure, I wish they’d make more videos together and be together more often, but just because they aren’t making their conversations public, it doesn’t mean they aren’t talking… Maybe they are in a fight, but I think all friendships go through it. Wow! I can’t believe this whole thing. It’s sad to see friends go through this. It makes me want to cry because I’ve had problems like this with my ex-bff before. It’s not easy getting through this guys. Fame gets to you, and I’m not saying that’s what started this mess, but it does. I really think that they’re busy lives may be keeping them apart. They’re still getting used to this whole fame thing. It would break my heart if Demi ans Selena cut off their friendship. She was mocking Selena, it really told Selena to not attend at her party. As if, Demi was referring that Selena couldn’t attend at her party on the weekend. And the reason Miley re-united with Nick was being of Demi and Joe and the other Jonas Brothers. No wonder Niley got to spend time together in 2009. Demi has changed a lot! I used to like her, but seriously, you can tell that fame got over her head. She used to be sweet and innocent, she even promised that she wouldn’t get fame on her head. If you read the lyrics of Demi Lovato’s song, Solo, you’d see that a guy got to know her just so her could closer to her best friend(SelenaGomez). The guy is probably Taylor Lautner who she posed with at the Hannah Montana Movie premiere. Selena choose Taylor over Demi. Then the two broke up (selena and taylor) and taylor started dating taylor (swift). Selena got jealous and got between them by hanging out with Taylor(lautner) wayyyyy more than usual.

And in the other hand yu don’t even know them personally…. Probably they talk and text each other wen they’re far away. And probably theyeet with each other wen they have time, but right now they’re super busy: Selena finally got her first record out and demi got her second. They are both wonderful role models to us and thy are also very talented girls, and that’s where you can see that they are very humble girls an they also have their independent times…..they are still BFFs and and sometimes you need to look deeper; the times where they made us laugh smile and love them…..
