Geoff, I hope that was one of the true full-size IMAX GT theatres that you went to and not one of the much smaller dumbed-down IMAX digital screens. All the best and long live the full-size IMAX GT. A message to all. Please support IMAX GT - The best motion picture system in the world, by miles! UK locations are, London - The Science Museum and the BFI complex in Waterloo. The Thinktank in Birmigham. ODEON complex at the Printworks in Manchester. The national media museum in Bradford, the first and possibly the best IMAX in the U.K. and Glasgow. These can give you an experience that will blow your mind. Please note, sitting at the front of the IMAX is OK for slow moving documataries and can be a much more immersive experience. However, for Hollywood films like Star Trek and Avatar you will be best sitting at the back or near the back. It makes not much difference in IMAX if you sit right in the middle or to the side. IMAX GT theatres were designed primarily for documentaries and the seating and theatre geometry is not ideal for those sitting very near the front. Reserve a good seat in advance if possible or get their early. For blockbusters this can mean getting there one to two hours before the show starts. All the best!
