I think it’s foolish how people are complaining. I find nothing wrong with Disney XD airing Naurto, in fact I’m pleased to see a program like Naurto airing on Disney XD and I wish Disney Channel would get rid of garbage like Wizards of Wavorly Place and air more programs like Naruto, SyFy’s Tin Man and Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Furthermore I Disney did do the right thing removing the profanity and some of the more disturbing images from Naruto.

im a big fan of naruto and it sucks because i dont have disney XD and most people dont but almost every body has disney thats why i think they should put it on disney so a lot more people can watch it

The edits that occur have completely bugged me to no end. Seriously, if Disney XD is catering to an older audience then why would you cut out all of the blood. I don’t think I’ve seen a drop of blood in the already aired episodes yet. Do the editors think that kids, no matter how young, don’t know that blood exists. Kids are rambunctious and hurt themselves and bleed alot. I’m sure they know it exists, so what’s the point in censoring it. Don’t even get me started on changing the words “sexy” and “kill” to “cutie” and “destroy.” Kids hear 100 times worse in school everyday but I don’t see any censors happening in that place. If they didn’t censor the show half as much, then we would have a truly great show on Disney XD, Naruto and non-Naruto fans alike. I’m not saying they should do away with the censors completely, which would be great, but just don’t censor it so heavily. But so far the show is going pretty well except for the censoring.

hey, i’m a huge Naruto fan, but i mainly read the manga due to it being farther in the story and being a bit more mature, but even still, if what i heard about Disney XD’s edits to the series on a forum i go to saying that XD did such stupid things as cutting out blood, explosions, the words “kill” and “sexy”, then it ruined the anime. if what i heard was false (all of it), then anime on Disney has a chance

I’m not a Naruto fan but I am an anime fan so I can say this confidently: Those who are complaining about Naruto being on Disney are being ridiculous. In all early press releases and in first episodes to be aired, Disney has shown zero interest in adapting or editing the series making this roughly the same as when Cartoon Network showed their afternoon anime Toonami block a decade ago. Possibly the biggest difference between now and then is that Toonami censored their anime while Disney XD hasn’t. If it’s going to create a new legion of anime fans/eventual consumers of the product than it’s all worth it. Don’t like Naruto being on Disney? Watch it elsewhere, it’s not like it’s that hard of a series to find to watch free and legally through official websites, etc.
