Arrest Made To Justin Bieber’s Camp Because Of Twitter

November 22, 2009 |  by
Justin Bieber

At Justin Bieber’s most recent album signing more fans showed up than police had planned for. When the police told Justin that the event was canceled they also threatened to arrest himself and his mom if they didn’t leave.

James Roppo from Island Def Jam Records was arrested and charged with endangering lives. Leutenent Kevin Smith from the Nassau County Police Department had this to say about the arrest: “We asked for his help in getting the crowd to go away by sending out a Twitter message. By not cooperating with us, we feel he put lives in danger and the public at risk.”

How many people in the crowd do you think were actually checking Twitter? Was this worth the arrest?

  1. I don’t care who the ‘artist’ (in this situation) is (nor his/her age) as (s)he (Justin (and his mom), as per this blog) did nothing wrong/illegal.

The officers on location, and perhaps the department they work at/for/under need to be ‘reprimanded.’

  2. How can they arrest anyone UNLESS there is a law broken??? If they signed up for the event… and police miscalulated crowd size, then it is up to them top disassemble the crowd… those in the crowd are not going to be reading their twitters (although they might be sending tweets).

ALSo majority of teens prefer other sites like myspace.com There are a lot of teen users on twitter (probably growing with new stars added on.

I feel sorry for this… I mean who wants to enter a mine field of crowd crushers and endanger your live… couldn’t the police have controlled or put up HUGE signs to the effect that no more were allowed?????

  3. WTF :S:S:S:S:S:S

  4. i think it is stupid that the police had to threaten Justin and his mom. Its not Justin’s fault that there were more than expected peope. So it’s just not fair!!

  5. This is so ridiculous they can’t just arrest somebody like that! I mean if the crowd is too big they should make sure no other people could come in! I mean you can threaten somebody who has booked the place for a concert and then threaten them! Thats so cruel!Justin didn’t even break any laws!
