The classic Marvel sci-fi comic “Alien Legion” is set to be adapted by the Walt Disney Company with producer Jerry Bruckheimer on board.
The co-creator of the comic, Carl Potts said in an interview with USA Today: “Alien Legion has been optioned for some time. The script is currently in its third rewrite. Bruckheimer’s never done a science-fiction [movie] before. So that challenge, I think, is something that would hold his interest. The success they’ve had with blending CGI and live-action characters in ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ series could translate easily to an ‘Alien Legion’ film.”
With the return of the comic in movie form, the comic book writers were also tempted to create more comic issues on paper. There is said to be 4 new issues set to be released in 2010.
