Miley Cyrus’ new tattoo says “Just Breathe” which is the slogan for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Miley lost a close friend, Vanessa, over three years ago because of Cystic Fibrosis and the tattoo is in memory of her.
Aww, that is so sad, but so sweet of Miley!

That’s sweet, but wait till the media hear that Miley has a tattoo.. that won’t be so sweet…
This story was in one of the newspapers here in the UK. They said theres rumores going round that her whole familys going to get the same tattoo. Some how i can’t see that happening.

I don’t know where she got this from, but “Just Breathe” Is NOT a slogan for Cystic Fibrosis… I was diagnosed with CF over 20 years ago and I’ve never once heard of that slogan… At least she’s bringing awareness to the cause.

Their is a Benefit concert where the money raised gets donated to CF Research, it’s called “just let me breathe” may she shortened that….
I have Cystic Fibrosis!!, I am not lieing either, i really do have CF, some people would probably lie to get attention, but I am telling the truth. I think that is so sweet of her to do that, her dad had to sign for it though, cause she is too young to get a tattoo by herself.

I’m quite happy she got that tattoo but why did it have to be under “there”? Ah well…
‘Just Breathe’, as a ‘tribute’ to cystic fibrosis sufferers is about as sensitive as Nancy Reagan’s ‘Just Say No to Drugs’ I lost a loved one to CF, and at no time during an attack would any of us have told her…Just breathe!
The tattoo is placed “there” because that’s where your lungs are, which are affected by CF. And “Just Breathe” isn’t trying to be insensitive, it’s in the hopes that one day the patients will be able to just breathe.

CF is a terrible, currently incurable genetic disease. We are still searching for a cure and any attention that is brought to this cause is beneficial. The major drug companies do not put much $ and effort into research for a cure because the # of people diagnosed with CF will not benefit them financially (such as cancer would). CF research relies heavily on donations to cystic fibrosis foundation. I hope that Miley has taken the opportunity to donate so those suffering like my 4 year old nephew may live a longer life.

Alright. I am going to be 19 in two weeks and was diagnosed with CF in 1992 when I was almost two years old. I dont know why anyone would make the remark to say “some people would probably lie to get attention”. Thankfully I am not compromised by my disease and I live a regular life day to day, though I can honestly say I would never catch myself lying about such things. Similar to the ‘Live Strong’ bracelets in yellow, you can also purchase ‘Just Breathe’ or ‘Breathe’ bracelets (in blue) to support Cystic Fibrosis. Tomorrow I will be getting my third tattoo on my right side over my lung area, which will read ‘Just Breathe’. (I think this was such a wonderful idea, thanks Miley!) I hope this will bring a better awareness not only those who can help contribute to cure to this disease, but to a younger age group, to help kids cope with being okay, having this illness around their peers and having the confidence to be open about it.
I think its great that she gotten that as a tattoo, im tryin to come up with a tattoo for my cousin/best friend who died of cf 3 yrs ago, and even though shes gone, ill have something to remember her by, even if its a silly tattoo, ill always remember, rip jll
Kathryn, “Just Breathe” is in fact, a slogan for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Considering I work at the chapter in Indianapolis, I tend to know these things.
This is the only thing I like about Miley. It’s awesome she’s raising awareness for this awful disease….my best friend passed away from it when I was 17. He was 19…I held his hand as he died…it’s something you never forget….
Actually, it’s the chorus to a really awesome song by Anna Nalick (“Breathe”). You know what a great tribute is instead of body mutilation you’ll be stuck with until you’re a leathery old woman? A huge donation and donating profits to the CF foundation. But I suppose a trendy tattoo is just as good.
