The Princess and the Frog Movie Review

December 19, 2009 |  by

This week we managed to sneak away from the world of blogging to catch a screening of the newest animated movie from Walt Disney Animation Studios “The Princess and the Frog”. If you are a fan of the original Disney Animated films such as “Beauty and the Best”, “Aladdin” and “The Little Mermaid” the latest installment in the Disney vault of animated Disney classics takes us to New Orleans, Louisiana where we meet the newest Disney Princess “Princess Tiana” and the newest Disney Prince “Prince Naveen”.

In true Disney fashion they enlisted the help of some very famous voices to accompany the eclectic cast of characters that make up “The Princess and the Frog”. Some of the most notable voices include Anika Noni Rose (Princess Tiana), Bruno Campos (Prince Naveen), Keith David (Dr. Facilier), Oprah Winfrey (Eudora), John Goodman (‘Big Daddy’ La Bouff) and Terrence Howard as James the father of princess Tiana.

In the Disney style we are all used to, Disney Animation has created characters that make you laugh and are totally lovable including a trumpet playing Crocodile named “Louis” and a Lightning Bug that has a deep southern accent named “Ray”. We won’t give away too much about the film because it’s worth a trip to the theater to watch but we can guarantee you will walk away with a smile on your face.

Have you seen “The Princess and the Frog” in theaters? What did you think?

We’re running a Princess and the Frog BAND-AID Contest here, sign up for your chance to win!
