All we have to saw is awwww! But let us expand on that!
This is such a super cute collection of three Winnie The Pooh movies called “Winnie The Pooh: A Valentine For You.”
In one of the short animated movie, “A Valentine For You” Christopher Robin catches the “Love Bug” to which Pooh’s response is “We must take him to the doctor!”
Rabbit says that the Love Bug is very contagious and all of the other characters including Tigger, Owl, Eeyore, Piglet and Gopher must come up with a plan to “cure” Christopher Robin.
This Pooh movie seemed to have a lot of musical sections to it, which we thought was really entertaining and different from the Winnie The Pooh movies we’re used to. “Winnie The Pooh: A Valentine For You” aired on TV in 1999.
We searched who does the voice of Pooh and found out it is Jim Cummings who has a long, long, long career of voice acting. One of Jim’s recent roles was the voice of Ray from the Disney animated movie “The Princess and the Frog.” Jim also did the voice of Don Karnage from one of our favorite old Disney shows “Tale Spin,” along with a ton of other roles spanning over a number of years.
The second short animated movie on the DVD is “Un-Valentines Day” in which Rabbit decides that Hundred Acre Wood must avoid the amount of cards that were sent out the year before and littered the woods. This year, Rabbit wants to ban sending thoughtful gifts and cards for Valentines Day, and cancel Valentines Day – that is, until Pooh receives a pot of honey from an anonymous source.
After that, everyone starts sending Valentine’s cards, and has a great Valentines Day!
There’s also a really cute version of Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet and Pooh re-creating “The Three Little Pigs.” Aww!
The last short animated movie on the DVD is called “My Hero” and is a new-to-DVD adventure. Piglet saves Tigger’s life and Tigger decides he wants to repay the favor by being Piglets servant. But Tigger causes Piglet more harm than good!
The antics between Tigger and Piglet are SO cute!
Every movie on this DVD is so cute, and very worth picking up your own copy of the movies.
Bonus features on the DVD include:
- Catch the Love Bug Game – Flying Love Bugs are on the loose in the Hundred Acre Wood and it’s up to YOU to catch as many as possible.
- Pooh-themed Valentine’s Day cards
“Winnie The Pooh: A Valentine For You” Special Edition DVD comes out January 5, 2010 and retails for $29.99. The run-time on the DVD is 60 minutes.
